Andrews cuts Ripon loose
05 December 2016
The latest youth unemployment figures prove that the Andrews Labor Government has completely abandoned Ripon.
There are now an additional 588 young people that don’t have full-time work in the Ballarat region since Daniel Andrews took office.
Young people are the future of the Victorian workforce, but under Daniel Andrews it is getting harder and harder for them to find a job.
Victoria is growing by 100,000 people every year and more than 90 per cent of that growth is in Melbourne.
That is why the Liberal Nationals are developing a comprehensive plan to manage Victoria’s population growth and make sure regional Victoria is a beneficiary of the opportunities population growth provides not a loser from it.
After two years of the Andrews Labor Government, it is clear that if you are a young person and you live in a rural area, Daniel Andrews has no interest in helping you find a job and staying close to friends and family.
Whether be is taking an axe to the Country Fire Authority, thousands of cancelled V/Line services or stealing funding from regional roads and funnelling it into Daniel Andrews’ own city electorate, regional Victorians have been the biggest losers after 2 years of Labor.
Daniel Andrews is a city-centric Premier who has no interest in anything that lies beyond Melbourne’s tram tracks.

Daniel Andrews is failing regional Victoria, country towns can not afford to lose more young people to the bigger cities.
It is vital that we keep young people in our community, the only way to do this is to have jobs available for them.
