Christmas message from Steph Ryan
22 December 2014
It is an honour to send Christmas wishes to everyone in the Euroa electorate in my capacity as the Deputy Leader of The Nationals, the Member for Euroa and shadow Minister for Training, Skills and Apprenticeships and for Young Victorians.
Christmas is an important time of the year where we can gather with family and friends to celebrate togetherness by sharing meals and giving gifts.
For many of us it is easy to take these things for granted. My heartfelt thanks goes to those many selfless individuals who donate gifts and volunteer their time to prepare Christmas meals for people in our communities who are for whatever reason struggling to make ends meet.
Throughout the region I know that there are many of you who have had the edge taken off the Christmas season by recent bushfires.
I urge everyone to make the time to look out for those who may be experiencing difficulties whether that means helping someone with bushfire recovery or visiting someone who is alone or unwell.
There are many little things that we as communities and individuals can do the help spread the Christmas spirit to homes throughout the Euroa electorate.
As we head into the holiday season I urge everyone to take care on our roads, play safe in and near the water and take care when using boats, jet skis and farming machinery such as quad bikes.
On behalf of my staff and myself I wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and holiday season. I trust that the new year brings peace and happiness.
