COVID-19 Community Update: summer restrictions (7 December)
07 December 2020
Today further restrictions have been eased across Victoria.
Visitors to your home remain capped at 30 visitors per day and outdoor public gatherings remain capped at 100 people, however patron caps across many other businesses like hospitality, sporting venues and community clubs and facilities are now removed.
Face masks are also no longer mandatory in all indoor venues, however they do remain mandatory where social distancing cannot be maintained and in supermarkets, shopping centres and large stores like Bunnings and K Mart.
SUMMARY OF RESTRICTIONS
PUBLIC EVENTS FRAMEWORK
The government’s public events framework can be found here.
Tier 1 and Tier 2 public events (ie events with an attendance of more than 500 people or meeting 4 or more risk critera) are required to submit a COVIDSafe Event Plan for review by the Victorian government. This COVIDSafe Event Plan must be approved for your event to go ahead.
Tier 3 events do not need to have their event plans reviewed by the Victorian Government. However, you must complete and upload a COVIDSafe event checklist and declaration at least a week prior to the event going ahead.
CHRISTMAS
There are now only 18 days until Christmas!
At this time, we do not expect the government to make any further changes to restrictions prior to Christmas, however if they do I will be sure to communicate them to you in a community update.
My office will be closing on Wednesday 23 December and reopening on Thursday 7 January however I can still be reached at [email protected].
