FReeZA grants open to Euroa youth organisations

11 August 2015

Applications for the FReeZA 2016-18 grant round are now open.

Member for Euroa and Deputy Leader of The Nationals Steph Ryan said the grants were a great opportunity for young people in the Euroa electorate who were interested in hosting an event.

“FReeZA gives young people funding to help them plan and organize drug and alcohol free music and cultural events in their local communities,” Ms Ryan said.

“It’s a way for young people to develop a range of organisational and event management skills.

“Emerging artists are also given important performance opportunities which they may not otherwise have, particularly in our smaller towns.”

Ms Ryan said she encouraged anyone interested in hosting a youth event to consider applying for a FReeZA grant.

“I invite young people interested in applying for a grant to contact my office to request a letter of support,” Ms Ryan said.

Applications for funding close on Friday 21 August 2105.
