Have your say on Victoria’s Regional Forest Agreement
17 January 2018
Public submissions are now open for the third five-yearly review of the five Victorian Regional Forest Agreements (RFAs).
Member for Euroa and Deputy Leader of The Nationals Steph Ryan said the purpose of the RFAs were to balance and protect all environmental, social, economic and heritage values that Victoria’s forests offer, both now and into the future.
“Public feedback is an important part of the process of ensuring the RFAs are working and, if not, what needs to be adapted to ensure they are fulfilling their purpose,” Ms Ryan said.
“A progress report on the implementation of the RFAs between 2019 and 2014 is now available online for public consideration and feedback.
“All public feedback will be given to the independent reviewer who will provide a report for the Victorian and Australian Governments, taking into account the progress of the agreement, along with all submissions.
“Everyone is welcome to have their say and I encourage any interested parties to consider making a submission.”
The Report on Progress with Implementation of the Victorian Regional Forest Agreements (RFAs), Period 3: 2009-2014 is available at www.forestsandreserves.vic.gov.au/forest-management/regional-forest-agreements.
Copies can also be obtained by phoning 136 186 or by emailing email@example.com.
