All young people are entitled to quality learning environments whether they live in the city or in regional and rural Victoria.
In 2011, the Benalla community, parents and teachers developed a master plan for the Benalla P-12 College regeneration, with a vision of being able to deliver quality education for the region’s students across three campuses. Although The Nationals committed $15 million last year to achieve this vision, the local community has not yet gained the same commitment from the Victorian Labor Government. I'm determined to keep fighting for our school and will continue highlight it's importance to the current State Government.
You can help improve the delivery of education to our 1,000 local students by signing my petition below and sharing with your networks.
Every student deserves a school they can be proud of. Benalla P-12 College urgently requires State Government funding to complete their regeneration, which will deliver a senior school precinct, years 5/6 and years 7/8 hubs, and deliver purpose built performing arts, music, material technologies, visual arts, foods and cafeteria, and applied learning areas at the Faithfull Street Campus. In addition, the special needs centre at the Faithfull Street Campus needs to be refurbished, as well as upgrades for the gymnasium, with new change rooms, administration block and general refurbishment of the Avon Street Campus.
